Hi Everyone,
My name is Tenzin Sekhon and I am currently in 13th grade at the John F. Kennedy School. This year, I have the honour of serving as President of the ECOSOC. This won't be my first time chairing, but it will be my first time in the ECOSOC, which I was always interested in both as a delegate and chair but never was a part of. Apart from MUN, I enjoy sports and play cricket, soccer, and basketball. Every once in a while, I met dig up my old skateboard ang for a cruise in the city. I also love music, and play two instruments (Alto Sax and Guitar). I am sure that this year's ECOSOC will be a great experience for me and am eagerly awaiting the opening of this year's conference.
Now, to reply directly to Tolga's question: I must apologise for the difficulties you have experienced with the committee information. The topic that you see as our third thread in this forum, namely "modernizing global institutions...", is the topic we will be debating. This year's procedures will be slightly different, and this topic, which we will debate and hopefully pass a resolution on, will then be further debated in the greater context of the topics of the G20 summit in the General Assembly on Saturday. So, just to make this clear, we will debate this topic in the ECOSOC and hopefully pass a resolution. This resolution will then be passed on to the GA on Saturday, and they will use it as a recommendation and an enhancement to their debate and the issues they will be debating. About clicking on information, this hasn't been possible yet because of the topic change, which still has to be mentioned and elaborated upon in our website letter. So don't worry about that information, it will follow shortly. And once again, thanks for asking, and I apologise for the difficulties you have experienced and for having confused you with the topics.
Should any of you have any other questions, please feel free to ask them and I will gladly answer them.
Apart from that, I'm looking forward to seeing everybody in November!
