Introductions

Postby EcosocPres.08_Nick » Mon Sep 29, 2008 6:14 pm

Dear Delegates,
My name is Nicholas Erb and I am the President of this year's ECOSOC. As I've written this information about a million times, if you want more information on me personally look at my intro on the website. I hope that we can use this forum as pre-conference discussing, as I believe we can already get many points clear before debate even starts. After all, we only have a few short days and 3 topics to fit into them! I hope I can get a general overview over the delegates of the ECOSOC through this forum, that we already have a head start. If there are any questions don't hesitate to ask! Please integrate into your introduction your Name, Age, Origin, perhaps experience and definitely the country you are representing in November!
All the best,
Nick

Hey!
My name is Gesa Tamcke. I'm 18 and in my final year at the Hermann-Billung-Gymnasium. I will serve as the Deputy President of ECOSOC.
As Nick has already mentioned it is very important to debate and to get to know each other before the conference. We are here to help you, so if yo have any questions or concerns don't hesitate and ask immediately.

Looking forward to meeting you all in November! :-*

Hi,
My name is Lisa, I'm 14 years old and this is my first ever MUN confecence. Naturally, I'm very excited. I go to JFKS and live close to Berlin but originally I come from Russia. This year I will be representing Guinea Bissau.
I've got a question: My family volunteered to host a foreign student. So far, we haven't received any information about who may be coming, exactly how long will that person will stay etc. Do you know anything about it?
Oh, and how many people will be in ECOSOC this year?

About the housing: The information was sent out yesterday, you should get it soon, I got mine today.
The ECOSOC has about 50 delegates, depends on how we fill the positions.

Heya!

My name's Alienor, or Li if you prefer that - easier to pronounce too o.o
I' in Grade 1 at the International School of Paris, and this is my third conference. However...my first "real conference" since I've only just mvoed to Paris and my old school in Montreal, Canada, was the host school for our mini-MUN that included 4-5 different schools. I'm really looking forwards to this conference and the rather different set-up!
I'm going to be representing Poland during the conference. See y'all then! :D

Peace,
Alienor / Li

Ps. Just out of curiousity, any Chinese speakers out there?
